Keith Urban brought home the award for Male Video of the Year Wednesday night at the CMT Music Awards and dedicated it to his family.
The 49-year-old country star took the stage and revealed that wife and Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman helped him achieve his success.
“I want to say a massive thank you to my wife Nicole,” Urban began. “You have no idea how much of what I do … she’s involved in every little piece of it.”
“She hates me saying this, but I want it to be said,” Urban continued. “She helps me so much making these videos what they are.”
Urban also added a sweet shout-out to the couple’s two daughters, Sunday, 8, and Faith, 6: “To our little girls at home, Sunny and Fifi, we’re going to bring you next time for sure!”
Urban was a big winner on Wednesday night. He also picked up awards for social superstar and collaborative video of the year for “The Fighter” with Carrie Underwood.
The song was written about Kidman, 49, who revealed how she felt about being the inspiration at the ACM Awards earlier this year.
“I remember when he first played it for me, and I started to cry because … he writes these things — they come out of I don’t know — and they’re like beautiful gifts,” the actress said.
The couple regularly spend quality time together, especially when they’re cheering on their favorite sports teams, like the Nashville Predators.
They cheered on the NHL team for game 3 of the Stanley Cups on Saturday, with cameras capturing as they celebrated a Predators goal.
