Ever wanted to enjoy a glamorous red carpet from the comfort of your own couch and comfy pajamas? Thanks to Voke’s virtual reality cameras, now you can with Sunday’s Critics’ Choice Awards.
This marks the first time an awards show will be broadcast in true Virtual Reality, and Voke will have cameras set up all along the red carpet (be sure to catch the limo exits), on stage, in the winner’s lounge, and in the pre-read area, so viewers can get up close and personal with the stars.
The experience will be available on Gear VR headsets and Google Cardboard, but viewers without headsets can also join in on the fun in a 2D user-controlled experience online here. To access the Gear VR experience, download the VOKE Gear VR app and select the Critics Choice channel. For Cardboard, select the Google Cardboard feature in the existing A&E iOS and Android apps.
