The show must go on … even if your plane crashes.

CMT has released the first full trailer (above) for Nashville‘s upcoming fifth season, which catches fans up on last season’s drama before diving into what comes next: Rayna and Deacon appear to be working on an album together, while Scarlett and Gunnar still can’t figure out their relationship. Then there’s Maddie, who has a new love interest, and of course, Juliette, who can be seen sitting in a crashing plane. (Yes, we know she survives.)

According to a press release, Maddie has officially moved back home, where Rayna is trying to save Highway 65, which is struggling financially. And when Rayna finds out about Juliette, she sets off “on a journey of discovery” that no doubt will involve a lot of singing.

In addition to the trailer, CMT announced its going to show the first hour of the two-hour premiere on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 9 p.m. ET, with the full two hours to follow on the night of its official return, Thursday, Jan. 5 at 9 p.m. ET. Further, that first hour of the premiere will be available on Hulu after Dec. 15.

(Note for viewers: You will have to switch your DVR settings. If you recorded the show when it was on ABC, it will not automatically record the show at its new home on CMT.)
