Gilmore Girls: Jimmy Fallon tries guessing last four words

Jimmy Fallon has made no bones about his recent Gilmore Girls obsession; he even started a hashtag for people to name their top four favorite characters from the show. So on Tuesday night, as the clock ticked down to the long-awaited Netflix debut of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on Friday, Fallon had cast members Scott Patterson, Liza Weil, and Sean Gunn on The Tonight Show.

More than anything, Fallon wanted to know the final four words of the show, since creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has said that the Netflix revival allowed her to finally end the show on her terms. Only Patterson knew the answer for sure, but that didn’t stop the others from guessing.

“Maybe it’s ‘Kirk is your overlord,'” Gunn suggested.

“My idea to Amy was ‘Drop the gun, Kirk,’ and she rejected it,” Patterson said.

“‘Stars Hollow never existed,'” Fallon proposed. “Like this whole thing is in a snow globe and that’s the way it ends.”
