Joe Ide, author of one of EW’s must-read fall books, IQ , has signed a new, two-book deal with Mulholland Books/Little, Brown & Co., EW is excited to announce. This extends the Isaiah Quintabe series to four books.

Ide’s series follows the adventures of Quintabe, a young black detective who not only solves crimes ignored by the police in inner city Los Angeles and Long Beach, but also charges clients what they can afford to pay. Ide has already completed the second book in the series, Righteous, which will be published in Fall 2017.

IQ is also currently being developed as a TV series, with House of Cards writer Matt Carnahan writing the pilot.
