Keith Carradine reflects on his legendary career

Posted on

Keith Carradine’s been in show business a long time, and in those years, he’s racked up a good amount of funny stories and exciting encounters. But he’s saving those for his memoir. In this clip from Entertainment Weekly: The Show, he gives us…the rest.

In a segment called “Carradine Was There,” the Madam Secretary actor, who has appeared in more than 70 films, gives us the low-down on the less interesting anecdotes from his time in Tinseltown, like the time he offered Warren Beatty some cream cheese for his bagel, only to find out he was more of a butter guy.

He’s even got a story for Billy Bob Thornton: “[He] gave me a travel tip on the set of Fargo. He said, ‘Whenever you fly, ask for two blankets. Then take the second one and roll it up and use it as a pillow,” Carradine recalls as he makes a truly remarkable face.

Watch the full clip above for stories on Ernest Borgnine, Ian McShane, and more, and see the full episode of Entertainment Weekly: The Show, available now, on the new People/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN).
