Lady Gaga’s Star turn will happen September 2018.
Warner Bros. announced Wednesday a handful of release dates for upcoming features, including the remake of A Star Is Born with Gaga starring opposite Bradley Cooper. The Oscar-nominated Cooper will make his directorial debut by revitalizing the tale first released in 1937 — it was remade a couple times over the decades, with Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand in the lead roles — about the classic rise and fall of a Hollywood starlet. Gaga will write and perform songs in her debut, scheduled for a Sept. 28, 2018 release, as a star in a feature film.
Meanwhile, New Line’s Rampage will wreak havoc April 20, 2018. The Dwayne Johnson-starrer will pit The Rock against a legion of monsters featured in the 1980 arcade game. Johnson links back up with Brad Peyton (San Andreas) to deliver another action blockbuster.
Everything, Everything at MGM is the final release date move from WB. The adaptation of Nicola Yoon’s YA novel — landing Aug. 18, 2017 — will detail the life of a teenage girl who is confined indoors, as she is allergic to much of the world. That lifestyle is put on the line when a new boy moves next door.
