Election Day: CNN uses Empire State Building to show results

CNN is bringing the 2016 election to the New York City skyline.

On Tuesday evening, the news network is projecting election results, maps, voter mosaics, photos, and animations onto the Empire State Building, turning the iconic structure into a real-time information display.

Produced by Obscura Digital, the projections include Instagram images uploaded by voters around the country using the #MyVote hashtag. #MyVote projections are also being featured at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., and Miracle Mile in Las Vegas.

The ESB projections will continue throughout the evening and ultimately call the race, casting an image of the POTUS over Manhattan. See video of the Empire State Building lit up below.
