Sofia Coppola‘s The Beguiled started production and finally got a release day, it was announced Wednesday.

The Focus Features film will open in select cities on June 23, 2017 and expand June 30, with global distribution to follow. The gothic drama is based on Thomas Cullinan’s novel of the same name, which was previously made into a 1971 film starring Clint Eastwood. The Civil War story is about a wounded Union solider (Colin Farrell) who is taken in by a girls’ school in the South.

The Beguiled, now filming in Louisiana, stars Farrell alongside Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning, Oona Laurence, Emma Howard, Angourie Rice, and Addison Riecke. Coppola, whose previous credits include 2013’s The Bling Ring and 2003’s Lost in Translation, is writing and directing.
