Eddie Redmayne imitates animals on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

There’s a reason Eddie Redmayne is an Oscar winner… but this is not that.

The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them star appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday, where the host challenged him to a round of “Heads Up” Animals. And Redmayne didn’t bat an eye before throwing his entire body into the game.

Of course, he was kind of playing before the game even started as he described spending quality time with a newborn anteater, which ultimately inspired the niffler in the movie.

“She had this habit of curling up onto herself, she’d sort of bend over, but in order to be fed, gently she had to be tickled in order to kind of wriggle herself out of it,” Redmayne described, mimicking the animal’s movements. (Yes, he really does “tickle” himself and “wriggle.”)

When the game began, Redmayne did his best impressions of an elephant, a pig, a monkey, and more, in order to help the audience win tickets to Fantastic Beasts. Watch the video below.
