The Chicago Cubs are currently playing in their first World Series since 1945, and celebrity superfans have not been shy about hiding their excitement.
Bill Murray and Eddie Vedder, for example, each sang the seventh inning stretch during two of the Cubs’ home games. That’s not all these stars have to sing about, however. After Game 4 of the World Series on Saturday, Murray and Vedder joined Derek Trucks for a late-night rendition of The Band’s “The Weight.”
Vedder and Trucks handled the main singing and guitar-playing, while Murray sang backup among a crowd of fellow Cubs fans. Murray also offered emotional support, at one point yelling “come on, these guys are good!”
