Kid Cudi's Surfin music video: Star dances with ASAP Rocky, Jaden Smith

Posted on

Kid Cudi dances to his own beat in his new music video “Surfin.'” The track, which features Pharrell Williams, is the latest single off of his upcoming album Passion, Pain, & Demon Slayin’.

Amidst a technicolor, smoke machine jungle dance party, Kid Cudi bounces around proclaiming, “I ain’t ridin’ no waves / Too busy making my own waves.” Cudi gets down with a bunch of famous faces including A$AP Rocky, A$AP Nast, Jaden Smith, Willow Smith, Chip the Ripper, and Hit-Boy.

The music video for “Surfin'” comes after Kid Cudi responded to Drake’s supposed diss in “Two Birds, One Stone,” which hit at Cudi’s recent admissions about the state of his mental health. Last Friday, Cudi took to Twitter saying, “Say it to face,  pussy. You think it’s game. I wanna see you say it to my face.”

During the second verse on “Surfin,'” Cudi hints at his feelings toward others in the music business when he says: “The industry is so full of sh-t / Welcome y’all to the enema / Nah man, no subliminal /’Cause they insecure, they know who they are.”
