Westworld fan theories discussed on What to Watch

In this week’s What to Watch podcast we put on our tin foil hats and dig into the HBO series

This post contains spoilers and speculation about Westworld

Ever since HBO’s enigmatic drama Westworld debuted earlier this month, viewers were rabidly working to unravel the secrets and mysteries upon which the show’s titillating theme park is built. In the process, fans have proffered many a theory as to what’s real, what’s not, and who is (and isn’t) a robot. In this week’s What to Watch podcast, hosts Ray Rahman and Amy Wilkinson welcome EW.com editor Christopher Rosen to dissect some of the most viral fan theories, including this gem: that Jeffrey Wright’s Bernard is an android… implanted with the soul of deceased park co-founder Arnold. (We’ll give you a minute to process that one — and then direct you to vote in our online poll about who may or may not be a secret robot host.)

But, of course, the week’s biggest TV news was a pair of deaths on the season 7 premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead, and executive editor-at-large (and zombie expert) Dalton Ross called in to talk about his Entertainment Weekly cover story, featuring an interview with cast member Steven Yeun (R.I.P. Glenn!). Dalton also gives us a tease of what fans can expect from the rest of the season.

EW’s What to Watch also breaks down the week’s other headlines, including a Muppet Babies reboot (Muppet Baaaaaabies, you make our dreams come truuuuue!) and the Michael Shannon-Taylor Kitsch-starring drama Waco, just picked up by Spike.
