Donald Trump is “Turning Tables” on Hillary Clinton after she attended an Adele concert and received an endorsement from the singer on the eve of her birthday this week.

After facing criticism for leaving the campaign trail to open his new Trump hotel in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, the Republican presidential candidate complained to ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos that Clinton was receiving special treatment by the media.

“I think it’s so unfair because, you know, Hillary Clinton goes to see an Adele concert last night, and everybody says, ‘Oh, wasn’t that nice, isn’t that wonderful?’”

Then Trump touted his new project, which is in the Old Post Office building on Pennsylvania Avenue. “[The hotel is] under budget and ahead of schedule. I built one of the great hotels of the world,” Trump said in his interview, which aired Thursday morning on Good Morning America. “What am I supposed to do, not show up? I’m taking one hour off. I’m going to North Carolina right after this, then I’m going back down to Florida. I’m going up to New Hampshire. I’m all over the place.”

He added: “I can’t take one hour off to cut a ribbon at a one of the great hotels of the world? I mean, I think I’m entitled to it.”

The presidential hopeful repeated a familiar refrain during the interview, targeting Clinton’s stamina. “She goes, she does one stop,” Trump said. “She has no energy. She’s got nothing going. She does one stop. And nobody complains about that. Nobody complains when she goes to an Adele concert all night long, while I’m making two speeches at rallies with, you know, massive crowds.”

In her endorsement of Clinton at her concert in Miami Tuesday, Adele pleaded with her fans to not vote for Trump. “I am English, but what happens in America affects me too,” she said. “Don’t vote for [Republican nominee Donald Trump], that’s all I’m saying.”

Adele added: “I can’t vote, but I am 100 percent for Hillary Clinton. I love her, she’s amazing.”

Clinton later told SiriusXM that she “was stunned and thrilled because I’m a huge fan of hers and it meant a lot to me that she said something so positive.”
