No retainer necessary for Ben Affleck to participate in a get-out-the-vote campaign. The Batman v Superman star appears in a new video for Funny or Die, urging New Hampshire voters to hit their polling places on Nov. 8.
In the clip, Affleck uses his best Boston accent to explain the importance of New Hampshire in the presidential election. “New Hampshire is wicked f—ing important in presidential politics,” Affleck says. He adds, “If you give a sh– about women’s rights, if you care about keeping environment safe for future generations, ever hear of it? You care about people getting to piss in the f—ing bathroom of their choice? Then guess who’s got your back in this election? That’s right: My basically home state New Hampshire.”
New Hampshire is viewed as a key state in the election, with four electoral college votes up for grabs. According to FiveThirtyEight, an aggregate of polls has Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton ahead of Republican candidate Donald Trump, with Clinton’s chances of winning the state at 86 percent.
“Seeing how this election is a bigger disaster than the New York Knicks, the people from New Hampshire are going to have to register to vote. Otherwise this whole damn nation is going to be cursed,” Affleck jokes in the clip. Watch it below.
