Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump squared off in the final of three presidential debates Wednesday night. Compared to the prior two events, the Las Vegas discussion was — at times — a relatively restrained affair. But that didn’t mean celebrities tuned out.
A big audience — likely not as big as Debate No. 1 — watched as the Republican and Democratic nominees had their 90-minute debate, moderated by Fox News’ Chris Wallace.
Writer-director Mike Birbiglia took the practical route and preached for viewers to focus on substance. “Don’t let media convince you that this is a ‘showdown,'” he tweeted. “That’s just a play for ratings. Ignore that & listen for issues and ideas.”
Chelsea Handler noted the return of Trump’s sniffles. “Trump’s sniffs are like snowflakes. No two are alike,” she wrote.
Other really wanted to see the return of one Ken Bone. “The only positive I see in Trump comes from the 1% chance that Ken Bone is hiding in his red tie,” House of Lies actor Ben Schwartz tweeted.
“Can we give back Ken Bone and get ONE question about climate change?” Broad City writer Jen Statsky added.
