Ayesha's Homemade premiere: Steph and Ayesha Curry battle over buns

It’s Curry vs. Curry in this sloppy joes debate

Posted on

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry may be the boss on the court, but at home, it’s his wife Ayesha who reigns supreme in the kitchen. And when the two disagree over Ayesha’s sloppy joes, they settle it the only way they know how: basketball.

In this exclusive clip from Ayesha’s Homemade, her new Food Network show, Ayesha is excited to present her husband Steph and his friends with a delicious dinner of sloppy joes. And Steph is excited, too — at first. “I love sloppy joes. I just want to know if the buns are extra crispy,” he tells his wife. “That’s how I like them.”

Unfortunately, Ayesha has something else in mind: sloppy joe stuffed peppers. There’s not a bun in sight. “Your season’s about to start,” she explains. “I’m trying to make it healthy for you.”

But Steph is set on the buns, and the Currys agree to settle the disagreement with a little game of basketball. Who will be victorious? Does Ayesha stand a chance against her MVP husband? We’ll have to wait for the premiere to find out.

Ayesha’s Homemade is the first series to be hosted by Curry, who has previously appeared on the Food Network as a judge on Chopped Junior and Guy’s Grocery Games. She also recently released her first cookbook, The Seasoned Life, and maintains a lifestyle blog and YouTube channel, Little Lights of Mine. The six half-hour episodes of Homemade promise an inside look into the lives (and diets) of one of basketball’s most popular couples and their two young daughters, Riley and Ryan.

Ayesha’s Homemade premieres Saturday at 12 p.m ET on the Food Network.
