The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has named its nominations for the Class of 2017, and the list is winding and diverse, including Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Depeche Mode, Electric Light Orchestra, Jane’s Addiction, Janet Jackson, Journey, the Cars, the Zombies and Yes. The rest of this year’s hopefuls are Bad Brains, Chaka Khan, Chic, J. Geils Band, Joan Baez, Joe Tex, Kraftwerk, MC5 and Steppenwolf.

Notably, this is the first year of eligibility for both Pearl Jam and Shakur. This will be Chic’s 11th nomination.

The top five vote-getters will be announced in December but won’t be inducted into the Hall of Fame until April with a ceremony at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. HBO will broadcast the ceremony, as they have done in prior years.

More than 800 artists, historians, and music biz members will vote via ballots, but as of Tuesday the public will also be able to vote in a fan ballot, which can be found at RockHall.com. Fan voting ends Dec. 5 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Last year’s inductees included N.W.A., Deep Purple, Cheap Trick, Chicago, and Steve Miller.
