Suicide Squad: Jared Leto's Joker is hanging out in a new behind-the-scenes image

If you thought you heard the last of Suicide Squad, think again. With an extended edition of the DC film set to drop later this year, more new looks have emerged, this time of a behind-the-scenes shot of Joker quite literally hanging out on set.

Clay Enos, a still photographer for the DC Extended Universe of films, released the image of “The Joker climbing the walls of his chinook between takes” on Instagram.

Fans didn’t get to see much of Jared Leto’s performance as the Clown Prince of Gotham in Suicide Squad, something Leto himself has pointed out. But this image is evidence of the star’s unique method of acting.

Leto got into the mind of the sadistic villain by rarely breaking character, resulting in some unforgettably creepy gifts to his cast mates. “As an actor, he’s flinging himself into the abyss on that one,” director David Ayer told EW. “And he was scary on set. He was intimidating. He’d show up and it was like, ‘Dude, you are f–ing creepy.’”

There could be more to see of the Joker clowning around when the Suicide Squad extended edition debuts as a digital download on Nov. 15 and Blu-ray on Dec. 13. See the new image below.
