Just call her Jane of Avalor.
Disney Channel’s new princess series Elena of Avalor will welcome three (!) guest stars from The CW’s hit comedy Jane the Virgin in a new episode themed around Día de los Muertos.
Jaime Camil, Andrea Navedo, and Ivonne Coll will all voice characters on the special episode, which will premiere as a primetime simulcast on Disney Channel and Disney Junior on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.
Camil, who plays smarmy Rogelio De La Vega on Jane, will voice Julio, an Avalor resident who runs a restaurant with his sister, Carmen (voiced by One Day at a Time’s Justina Machado). Coll, who plays Jane’s grandmother Alba, will voice Julio’s grandmother, Doña Angelica, who appears as a ghost on Día de los Muertos to help the bickering siblings.
Navedo — known for playing Jane’s mother Xiomara — will wax maternal once again to voice Elena’s mother, Queen Lucia, who also appears to Elena on the Day of the Dead.
The Jane connection to Elena is already very strong: Jenna Ortega, who plays Young Jane on the CW series, is a series regular on Elena, voicing Princess Isabel; Anthony Mendez — who voices the Narrator on Jane — made his debut last month on Elena in the role of King Juan Ramón.
