Samantha Bee has attacked Donald Trump’s vulgar recorded comments about women with a “leaked” video of her own rife with sexual remarks.
The host of TBS’s Full Frontal shared a video Friday evening of a “private” conversation between her and correspondent Ashley Black on a tour bus, discussing their fondness for grabbing men’s genitals, something Trump said of doing to women in a 2005 video unearthed by The Washington Post.
“You know what looks a little bit luscious to me: balls. Just like to reach up there and grab ’em. Just get in there, you reach in,” Bee says. “I have kind of access to men’s balls.”
“That’s why I’m on television,” Black replies.
In the Post video, Trump boasted about his behavior and attraction to women. “You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss,” he said. “I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p—y. You can do anything.”
After the video’s release, Trump sent out a statement: “This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course — not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.”
Full Frontal then issued a similar statement regarding their video. “To be clear, this was an off-the-record conversation. I have been the victim of a hack by the media that I hired to cover me,” it reads. “This was just classic girl talk, a private conversation that took place on a heavily promoted special episode my cable TV show. I’m sorry people felt the way that they felt, but you should hear the things Phyllis Schlafly used to say on the shuffleboard court.”
