The Accountant is a high-stakes thriller featuring Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick, but the costars channeled their comedic sides for a Twitter Q&A on the film.

When asked about their favorite scenes to film, the pair were on different pages. “I liked all the scenes with Anna because she was so much fun,” Affleck said. “She was just so good. We had the chemistry.” Of course, his costar couldn’t respond without showing off that “chemistry”: “That’s so funny you say that because I was gonna say my favorite scene to film was my first scene because Ben wasn’t in it,” Kendrick joked.

The story follows Christian Wolff (Affleck), a math savant who uncooks the books for many of the world’s worst criminals. When Dana (Kendrick) becomes close to Wolff, his world starts to unravel, with the Treasury Department noting his every move. Affleck had to channel his latest Batman v Superman superhero role for the action scenes, which meant he “practiced fighting and spent months and months in training” for his role as the titular accountant. Kendrick prepared by giving the script to her mom “because she’s an accountant.”

Fans requested many things of the stars, including a duet, which Kendrick was chipper to provide while Affleck quickly shot it down as a “disaster.” But the new Batman — who has directed films including Argo, Gone Baby Gone, and the upcoming The Batman — did take some time to throw his support behind actors taking a stab at directing. “If every actor could take the opportunity to direct a movie they would definitely learn a lot,” Affleck said. “At least I did. It’s very educational.”
