This weekend, moviegoers everywhere can see Emily Blunt solve a murder mystery as the protagonist of The Girl on the Train‘s much-anticipated film adaptation. Before that, however, the actress had some easier mysteries to solve. Appearing on The Tonight Show Monday night, Blunt played Box of Lies with Jimmy Fallon, in which both participants have to figure out if the other is lying about the strange contents of their mystery box.
Blunt was up first, drawing out of her box a mini-record player that replaced vinyl with pizza. The prize was so bizarre even Fallon didn’t believe her when she described it to him, thinking it was a lie to throw him off the scent. Fallon tried the same technique with his box, which contained a box within a box. On the tie-breaking final round, Blunt got a box with a little Frankenstein Clown, but when she tried to tell Fallon it was “a My Little Pony with a syringe stuck in it,” he saw through it since she “put more of your British accent on that one.”
