The first-ever Heroes After Dark kickoff party —¬†a red-carpet, invite-only event that will lead into New York Comic Con on Oct. 5 — will partner with¬†DoSomething.org in conjunction with national anti-bullying awareness month.

The party will feature a host of celebrities, industry professionals, and insiders as they honor two young people who are real-life superheroes making a difference in their communities amid a backdrop of sponsored events, including Mr. Monopoly himself celebrating the release of Hasbro Gaming’s new Monopoly game, Monopoly Ultimate Banking, Liquitex’s artist-in-residence Sebastien “Mr. D” Boileau painting an original work of art live on stage (which will be donated and auctioned off by DoSomething.org), and a Kraken rum bar takeover and arm-wrestling competition.

The kickoff will also feature craft beer from event partner Bira 91, and an appetizer menu from Chef Daina Falk of The Hungry Fan’s Game Day Cookbook. Guests will also be able to create their own #HEROESAFTERDARK GIF in a special booth set up by GIPHY.

The party will be put on at the Highline Ballroom in Chelsea by NYCC Presents, a lead-in to New York Comic Con meant to expand the week’s celebrations across the city by way of live podcasts, gaming challenges, screenings, concerts, dance parties and more. Heroes After Dark will be produced by ReedPOP in partnership with CAA Premium Experience, a division of the Creative Arts Agency, and Entertainment Weekly. Each NYCC Presents event is individually ticketed and will run Oct. 3-9, leading up and through New York Comic Con.
