Ben Affleck reacts to New England Patriots loss to Buffalo Bills

Posted on

Being the person to break bad New England Patriots news to superfan Ben Affleck doesn’t seem like the best of jobs.

The Oscar winner was in the midst of doing a press junket for his upcoming thriller The Accountant on Sunday, in the middle of the Patriots’ game against the Buffalo Bills. Sports Illustrated popped in to say hello to Affleck, who asked about NFL scores. The Bills were ahead 16-0.

“You’re kidding me,” he said before asking if the game was in the third quarter. It was in the fourth and final frame.

“In the fourth?!” he incredulously replied, before asking about the Bills coach. “Rex Ryan? F—.”

It was the Pats’ first loss of the season and the first time they have been shutout at home since 1993 — when Affleck played a high school jerk in Dazed and Confused. At least his best friend Tom Brady returns this week.
