PICK OF THE NIGHT

Younger

TV Land, 10 p.m.

Love triangle alert! The frothy NYC-set Darren Star comedy returns with Sutton Foster’s Liza torn between her younger, sorta dangerous sometimes-boyfriend Josh and her sorta bookish, more age-appropriate boss Charles. The latter seemed to be getting the edge when the show last left us, but who knows what’ll happen this season. Well, we sort of do — be sure to take a look at all our Younger coverage here.

SEASON PREMIERE

Code Black

CBS, 10 p.m.

The high-octane medical procedural starring Marcia Gay Harden enters season 2 with a new cast member: Rob Lowe. That’s right, the Grinder has arrived, and apparently he’s already stirring stuff up in Grinder-esque fashion — check out our coverage of the new season (and Lowe’s arrival) here.

NEW NIGHT, SAME BEE

Full Frontal With Samantha Bee

TBS, 10:30 p.m.

The Full Frontal host does her show on a Wednesday this week because Mondays are for losers — or, uh, because the presidential debate was on Monday, so it makes more sense to add a special extra night so that she can comment on the debate before it gets too old over the weekend!
