PICK OF THE WEEKEND
Amazon, Friday, streaming
Last Sunday, Jeffrey Tambor won his second consecutive acting Emmy for his work on this show. Plus, Caitlyn Jenner is slated to make a dreamy cameo this season. Oh, and the rest of the cast — including Judith Light, Jay Duplass, Gaby Hoffmann, and Kathryn Hahn — are all amazing as well. I guess what I’m saying is: Watch this show already.
CBS, Friday, 8 p.m.
Can X-Men star Lucas Till reboot a retro TV franchise with nothing but a paper clip and some chewing gum? Maybe! Check out our exclusive first look at the show’s opening to find out more.
Fox, Friday, 9 p.m.
Speaking of old intellectual property, Fox is reviving an old favorite as well. According to star Alan Ruck, the revamped edition will carry the spirit (get it?) of the original. Watch a video of Ruck and the rest of the cast breaking down the horror series here.
Son of Zorn
Fox, Sunday, 8 p.m.
Lord and Miller, you guys are crazy for this one! The duo behind such zany favorites as Last Man on Earth and Clone High launch their latest creative gambit: A hybrid animated/live-action sitcom about a He-Man-esque warrior named Zorn (voiced by Jason Sudeikis) who tries to reconnect with his ex-wife (played by Cheryl Hines). Needless to say, we’re sold.
