Julia Roberts is about to be Framed.
The Oscar-winner will star in and produce an adaptation of the book, “I’ll Get You!” Drugs, Lies, and the Terrorizing of a PTA Mom, by Kelli Peters and Sam Rule, Roberts’ reps confirmed to EW.
Peters was the subject of a six-part Los Angeles Times story earlier this month that detailed the bizarre case in which Kent and Jill Easter, married lawyers, planted drugs in Peters’ car. Peters eventually won $5.7 million in civil court over the ordeal.
The project is packaged as a feature film and is currently being evaluated by multiple bidders, according to Roberts’ reps.
Roberts can next be seen in adaptation of R.J. Palacios’ best-seller, Wonder, along with Jacob Tremblay, Owen Wilson, and Daveed Diggs, due in theaters next spring.
