Teresa’s friendship with Jacqueline may be on the mend, but her relationship with her cousins Rosie and Kathy isn’t where it used to be. The fact is, Teresa wants it to stay that way, and Jacqueline’s need to question her reasoning gets misconstrued in this exclusive clip from Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Last week’s episode ended with Teresa and Joe leaving a lunch with their cousins, where Teresa shared she didn’t want close contact with them anymore but still considered them family. “I thought you guys ended things good and you were gonna have each other’s back,” says Jacqueline to Teresa, acknowledging the other ladies bashing Rosie and Kathy. “I’m confused of why you’re letting them attack her.”
“I want nothing to do with them and if you want them in your life God bless you,” Teresa fires back. “They’re not in my life.” Jacqueline still seems confused about this sudden hate, adding, “Well you need to make that more clear to them.”
Since fighting seems to be contagious in this group, Melissa jumps in to defend Teresa. “Jacqueline, Rosie, and Kathy came out of the meeting maybe thinking, ‘Okay, it’s closed for now,’ but she’s saying ‘no,’” says Melissa, trying to reiterate that Teresa is firmly against rekindling closeness with her cousins. “Are you hearing what I’m saying?” poses Jacqueline, which just fires up Melissa even more. “Well, you’re talking about it the most,” she fires back.
“I’m just letting you know the message was not clear,” says Jacqueline, making sure to use her words slowly and loudly so the room knows she means business. “I’m not pushing it at all, that’s not what I’m saying!” Melissa sees this discussion as a means for Jacqueline to lay it all out “on a platter,” and Teresa echoes that sentiment. “It looks like you’re pushing it,” yells Teresa.
