Sherlock: The Abominable Bride won best television movie at the 68th annual Emmy Awards on Sunday night, but the evening wasn’t a total success for one of its stars.

Amanda Abbington, who plays Mary Watson on the British import, wrote on Twitter that her purse was stolen after going up on stage to help producer Steven Moffat and the Sherlock team accept their award.

“Thanks for the lovely tweets re; the Emmys. So pleased we won! Cool, right?” Abbington wrote. “However, we went up to collect the Emmy, did some press, came back to my seat and some bastard had nicked my purse from under my seat. Nice.”

Abbington explained she lost her phone and driver’s license as a result of the alleged theft. “So whoever took my purse, I hope some terrible Karmic sh– happens to you,” she added. “How crappy is that.”

In a reply to a fan on Twitter, Abbington added, that she “hung around until everyone had left the auditorium” but had no luck tracking down the purse. “Nothing there,” she wrote.

Representatives for The Television Academy were not immediately available for comment.
