Drake has fired back against Kid Cudi’s recent tweets, in which the rapper called out both the Views singer and Kanye West.
“Boy you getting way too high, you need to cud-it,” Drake said at his Oakland concert Wednesday night. “Shoutout to my brother Kanye West. We both got sold out shows.”
His comments come on the heels of West’s response during his Tampa stop on the Saint Pablo tour.
“Kid Cudi, don’t ever mention ‘Ye name. I birthed you…You mad ‘cause I’m doing songs with Drake? Ain’t nobody telling ‘Ye who to do songs with! Respect the God!” West said after breaking mid-song from “I Don’t Like” while playing in Tampa on Wednesday night. “I’m so hurt. I feel so disrespected. Kid Cudi, we’re two black men in a racist world. I wore skinny jeans first. I got called names before you, bruh. Why y’all got to come at me?”
Cudi, who contributed to West’s The Life of Pablo earlier this year, slammed both Drake and West in a series of heated tweets on Wednesday. “I need y’all to know I got so many haters within the industry and these clowns know Im bout to crush their entire [existence]. Everyone thinks they’re soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them,” he wrote. He then mentioned the musicians specifically: “My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These n—-s dont give a f— about me. And they aint f—in with me.”
Cudi has yet to address Drake and West’s statements. He’s currently working on his sixth studio album, which is set to be released later in September. Watch Drake’s response below.
