The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey stun gun theory tested

Posted on

Ready for the next JonBenét Ramsey docuseries? On Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, CBS will unveil the first installment of The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey, a two-part true crime limited series that examines the 1996 unsolved murder of the 6-year-old beauty pageant contestant whose parents, John and Patsy, found her body in their Boulder, Colorado, home after they had reported her missing.

Case not only reunites the original investigators of the crime, it has them join forces with new experts, such as a former New Scotland Yard criminal behavioral analyst and a retired FBI supervisory special agent, to take a closer look at the case. The team will reconsider the evidence, recreate key rooms in the Ramsey house, and generate new theories.

In this clip from the first installment, the team uses a brave sergeant from the Telluride Marshal’s department to help test a theory by the late Colorado Springs detective Lou Smit that a stun gun or an air taser was used to subdue JonBenét, based on marks on her body. The results may surprise you.
