As Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s “This Is What You Came For” continues its bid for Song of Summer, CHVRCHES lent the chart-topping single a dark synth rendition.

The Glasgow trio covered the song during their recent appearance at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge series. They also performed Every Open Eye entry “Bury It.” Their previous Top 10 cover, Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?,” earned a co-sign from the Biebs himself. “Great job,” he wrote on Twitter.

“This Is What You Came For” peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and currently sits at No. 5. CHVRCHES put out Every Open Eye to critical acclaim last September. They shared “Warning Call,” penned for Xbox One game Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, in May.
