The 18-year-old is sinking her teeth into the vampire adaptation Drink, Slay, Love for Lifetime, serving as co-executive producer on the project based on the 2011 young adult novel of the same name by Sarah Beth Durst, EW confirmed Wednesday.
The film began production Wednesday, with The Fosters star Cierra Ramirez taking the lead as teenage vampire Pearl, who is suddenly able to appear in the sunlight, so her vampire family enrolls her in high school to seek out potential human victims before the feast of the Vampire King. That poses a problem for her, however, when she develops a hot-blooded crush on fellow classmate Evan (Zach Peladeau, iZombie).
Interestingly enough, Thorne’s ex-boyfriend Gregg Sulkin — the pair announced their split earlier this month, blaming scheduling conflicts — is also appearing. The Faking It actor joins Angelique Rivera (American Crime), Sarah Desjardins (Van Helsing), and Jasmine Sky Sarin (Perfect High) to round out the supporting cast.
Thorne starred in Lifetime’s 2015 movie Perfect High as an aspiring dancer who develops a heroin addiction. She’ll next be on TV in the lead of Freeform’s Famous in Love, due in 2017.
