Jon Stewart messed with the wrong person this time.
At WWE SummerSlam in Brooklyn, New York, on Sunday, the former Daily Show host was caught talking smack about Stephanie McMahon, the Raw commissioner and daughter of WWE CEO Vince McMahon.
“The only thing I was trying to figure out is: What are you doing working with Stephanie?” yelled Stewart, questioning Raw general manager Mick Foley backstage. “How could you do that? How could you not be working with the good guys.”
Foley suggested McMahon was misunderstood, prompting Stewart to say, “Misunderstood? Nepotism, abuse of power, mean, just mean,” said Stewart, who was joined by his son Nathan Stewart.
Stewart then discovered that McMahon was behind him the entire time.
“I thought it would have been nice to see you too, but I hear you have some remarks about me,” she said to Stewart, who hosted last year’s SummerSlam.
McMahon took it a step further, getting in Stewart’s face and asking, “What good is power if you can’t abuse it?”
Stewart also stepped into the ring, where he declared his allegiance to The New Day. Watch Stewart’s appearances in the videos below.
