'The Secret Loves of Geek Girls': Creators reveal their first fictional crushes

Posted on

The all-female creative team behind the book The Secret Loves of Geek Girls divulge a lot in their new comic series, but in the exclusive video above, they get personal and dish on their first fictional crushes.

These geeky writers and illustrators get real about which fictional guys and girls they fell for when they were younger. And they have great taste. Crushes range from animation to live action to illustration and include Captain Kirk, Tuxedo Mask, Wesley from The Princess Bride, Jack Skellington, and Nancy Drew. And don’t think animals are excluded: Several women name-check non-humanoid characters like Disney’s foxy Robin Hood, Kermit the Frog, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles‘ Michaelangelo.

The Secret Loves of Geek Girls is an all-female comic anthology of true stories about love, romance, and sex, featuring new cartoons by Margaret Atwood. You can buy the book on Kickstarter.
