Fans attending Comic-Con in San Diego this week will be able to lasso a new look at Wonder Woman.

This year’s Comic-Con Extra cover from EW features star Gal Gadot and more inside info about 2017’s highly anticipated Wonder Woman standalone feature. Convention goers will receive the special extra issue for free throughout the weekend. The massive fan confab in San Diego kicks off on Thursday and runs through Sunday.

Speaking to EW for this year’s Comic-Con issue, on newsstands now, Gadot said playing Wonder Woman in the character’s first film in 75 years of existence was a big responsibility.

“We knew we wanted to tell a story that would inspire people: women, men, boys, and girls. And we didn’t want to just show a generic story of a superhero coming of age. We wanted her to be full and whole. This is the first time we are telling this story, and I feel like for so many boys, they have great role models to work with. They have Superman and Batman and Spider-man and the list goes on and on. And they are strong and almighty, and they are positive and active and proactive,” Gadot said, adding Wonder Woman should be that kind of figure for young women.

“I feel that I’ve got the opportunity to set a great role model for girls to look up to a strong, active, compassionate, loving, positive woman, and I think it’s so important. It’s about time that somebody will do that, and I’m very privileged and honored to be the one,” she said.

Wonder Woman will be released on June 2, 2017. For exclusive photos from the film, head here, and check out the cover of EW’s Comic-Con Extra issue below.
