The new day is about to begin.
Fox has released the key art for 24: Legacy, the reboot of its acclaimed series that starred Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer. In the newest iteration from Howard Gordon and longtime franchise producers Brian Grazer, Manny Coto, and Evan Katz, 24: Legacy stars Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) as the leader of an an elite squad of U.S. Army Rangers that killed a terrorist leader Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid. In the aftermath, Bin-Khalid’s followers declared a fatwah against Carter and his squad, forcing them into federal witness protection and making them question who they can trust.
The reboot also stars Jimmy Smits, Miranda Otto, and Dan Bucatinsky. Sutherland, who’s headlining Designated Survivor for ABC this fall, is also listed as an EP on the series that’ll bow Feb. 5 on Fox.
Hawkins and his fellow castmembers are heading to Comic-Con next weekend to promote the series. After participating on EW’s Brave New Warriors panel on July 22, Hawkins will join Otto and Smith on a panel July 24 in Hall H.
