Well isn’t this fabulous? After eight seasons and over 100 episodes, RuPaul has been nominated for his first Emmy.

As announced Thursday, RuPaul finally scored a nod for outstanding host for a reality or reality-competition program. RuPaul’s nomination wasn’t the only one for RuPaul’s Drag Race, which also was recognized for outstanding costumes for a variety, nonfiction or reality program.

“I dedicate this Emmy nomination to outsiders everywhere,” RuPaul wrote on Twitter and Facebook. “Brave souls who stick to their dreams and make the world a more colorful place.”

Social media was ecstatic to see the draq queen icon finally get some award love, including Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s Titus Burgess, Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and American Horror Story’s Cheyenne Jackson among those to offer their congratulations.
