Pokemon Go Chrome extension blocks app mentions from your browser

Posted on

Is Pokemon Go taking over your life? Sorry, we can’t help you there. But if you feel it’s taking over your internet, there’s a fix.

The popular new game app, which launched July 6 and sees players hitting the streets in the hopes of catching virtual Pokemon, is pretty much unavoidable right now, both online and IRL. Thankfully, there’s a new Chrome plug-in called Poke-Gone that’ll keep any mention of Pokemon Go away from your browser.

Inspired by a similar Donald Trump filter, “This extension will stop your eyes from seeing grown adults raving on about Pokemon,” the “Gotta block ’em all” plug-in promises.

Even if you’re totally cool with Pokemon Go all over your world, we recommend checking out the reviews section for some chuckles. Some gems include, “This guy couldn’t catch ’em all,” and “Gamma male detected.”
