In the first clip from Disney’s remake of Pete’s Dragon, Robert Redford and Bryce Dallas Howard must consider the impossible — that the feral boy found living in the woods for six years may have had a giant, green dragon to keep him company. Crazier still, that dragon may be a creature from their past.
The story sees a park ranger named Grace (Howard), whose father, Mr. Meacham (Redford), has been telling stories of a mythical dragon living in the woods for years. After Grace meets a boy named Pete (Oakes Fegley) who survived in the wild on his own, she’s forced to consider the tale may not be so tall.
The new clip, via Yahoo Movies, sees Grace showing her father Pete’s drawing of the dragon. “He says it’s his friend from the forest, and it reminded me of…” she says, before Mr. Meacham cuts her off and the two examine a drawing he made for her years earlier.
