Candace Payne is full of surprises. The mother of two, known more commonly as Chewbacca Mom, turned out a dazzling rendition of the national anthem at a Astros vs. Mariners baseball game last week in Houston’s Minute Maid Park.

Payne earned viral fame for her reaction video to purchasing a Chewbacca mask from a local Kohl’s. It quickly became the most-viewed Facebook Live video, thanks to her infectious laugh. She ended up with her own Hasbro action figure, and James Cordon had a few surprises for her when she appeared on The Late Late Show.

This week, her pipes were on display as she sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” before a massive audience. Watch video of the performance, below.

Payne previously threw the first pitch at a Tampa Bay Rays and Astros game in June, where she was joined by some special guests.

Payne also posted video of herself singing a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World” in tribute those affected by the shooting in Dallas that claimed the lives of five police officers.

“I’ve been spreading joy, and I’ve been hoping to do that, but I found myself over the last couple days being silent because I’ve been so sad and so hurt by what’s going on,” she prefaced. “And I wanted to just share with you my own arrangement of a song that I came across that has really meant something amazing to me.”
