Robert Downey Jr. has extended a warm welcome from one Iron Man to another.
The actor known for playing billionaire playboy Tony Stark and his super-suited alter ego in the Marvel cinematic universe tweeted Thursday about the new Marvel Comics character Riri Williams, a black MIT science prodigy who will soon take over for Stark in the pages of Invincible Iron Man. (Per comic writer Brian Michael Bendis, she hasn’t decided whether she’ll keep the Iron Man name or adopt a new one.)
“Get ready for a new generation of Marvel BAMF,” Downey wrote (using an acronym for some colorful language). Hey, it takes one to know one.
