Sausage Party: Seth Rogen animated movie tackles July 4th BBQ dangers in spoof PSA

Posted on

Remember, “grills kill…s.” — or at least that’s the message Frank, voiced by Seth Rogen, is trying to get across in a new Sausage Party teaser tackling the dangers of July Fourth barbecues.

“Hi, I’m Frank, and in the time it took me to say, ‘Hi, I’m Frank,’ over two million of my friends will have expired from these unnatural causes — all because of you and your insatiable hunger for killing,” he says.

This is a sensitive issue for Frank, who’s the focus of Sausage Party: The animated film follows a group of anthropomorphic food items who learn the horrific reality about what happens to them when purchased from the grocery store.

Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon co-directed Sausage Party based on a story written by Rogen and his longtime collaborator Evan Goldberg. Kristen Wiig, James Franco, Paul Rudd, Salma Hayek, Jonah Hill, Edward Norton, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, and more help fill out the voice cast.

Sausage Party will hit theaters on Aug. 12. Watch the spoof PSA above.
