USA’s Queen of the South is continuing to flesh out Camila’s (Veronica Falcón) burgeoning drug empire. In this week’s episode, we meet guest star Mark Consuelos’ Teo Aljarafe, her longtime lawyer and confidant who isn’t enthused by the idea of getting involved in the drug business.
In the exclusive clip below, Teo meets with Camila to express his concerns about helping acquire a shipping company because it would put her in direct competition with her husband Epifanio’s (Joaquim de Almeida) drug empire. Teo is wary of antagonizing Epifanio because he’s aware of what Epifanio does to his enemies. However, Camila responds by letting him know who he should really be afraid of.
“Everything my husband has, I helped him build,” Camila says coldly. “So, if you’re afraid of him, you have to be afraid of me too.”
Elsewhere in Thursday’s episode, queenpin-in-the-making Teresa (Alice Braga) must prove her worth to Camila before she’s forced into prostitution, and Brenda (Justina Machado) and her son, who are still in Mexico, struggle to evade Epifanio’s hit men.
