First, the good news: Nick Offerman is going to play a character named Dr. Klorpins.
Now for some context: The Parks and Recreation alum has joined the cast of Fox’s upcoming animated/live-action hybrid comedy Son of Zorn, Fox has confirmed.
Son of Zorn follows the adventures of the cartoon warrior Zorn (voiced by Jason Sudeikis) who comes back to Orange County (which is not animated) to rebond with his son (Johnny Pemberton) and ex-wife (Cheryl Hines) after a 10-year absence.
Offerman — whose animated credits include Axe Cop, Bob’s Burgers, and The Simpsons — voices a doctor from Zorn’s animated homeland of Zephyria who lives in a cave. He will be among Zorn’s friends who come to visit him in the live-action realm.
Olivia Wilde will play Zorn’s ex-girlfriend Radiana in one upcoming episode.
Son of Zorn, which is executive produced by The Lego Movie‘s Chris Miller and Phil Lord, premieres Sept. 25.
IGN first reported the Offerman news.
