Independence Day: Resurgence invites tourists to the ruins of Las Vegas

Posted on

Fear not, survivors of Independence Day Resurgence, Sin City is still intact (sort of) and ready to provide all of the delectable desires of the alien killing individual.

With the upcoming release of the Independence Day sequel, Fox released a campaign via Motherboard to remind fans that with the alien invasion just upon us, it doesn’t mean the fun has to end. Presented by the “Las Vegas Ruins Tourism Board,” the video guides potential Nevada visitors to the various activities still available.

“On July 4, 1996, aliens attacked our planet, but they did not destroy the spirit of Las Vegas,” states the ominous but welcoming voice narrating the campaign. “Enjoy all the excitement of classic gambling on authentic casino tables and machines excavated from the ruins.” All the gamblers are just as they should be; drink in hand and look of pure ecstasy as they hope for a winning game.

The campaign clip was directed by Ghost+Cow, written and creative directed by Romain Thomassin, and produced by Emma Starzacher.

If Vegas is just a tad too far, fans can catch Independence Day: Resurgence when it hits theaters June 24.
