The one true surprise of the whole Ghostbusters shoot was the magical improvisational skills of Chris Hemsworth. The man otherwise known as Thor stunned comedy mavens Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon with his deft comedic skills, so much so that McCarthy was convinced the man was wearing a wire and being fed lines. Check out what the cast thought of Hemsworth in this excerpt from our roundtable with Team Ghostbusters for this week’s cover story below.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Did anyone get to make out with Chris Hemsworth?

McKINNON: On camera?

JONES: Chris is so gorgeous but the most normal person you will ever meet. It’s not even fair how sweet and normal he is. He loves his kids. He loves his wife. It’s just too much.

There’s a hilarious scene in the film where he’s interviewing to be your assistant, and it becomes clear that his character is, uh, not very smart.

McCARTHY: When we were doing that interview scene, Chris had such a crazy run of improv, there were so many different thoughts, it was mind-blowing.

WIIG: It was so specific and kind of odd, which is the best kind of improv. We couldn’t understand where he came up with that.

McCARTHY: That scene was so hard to get through.

WIIG: I know. That’s when Kate farted.

Ghostbusters opens in theaters on July 15.
