Kelly Osbourne has joined the many celebrities honoring victims of the mass shooting at an Orlando, Florida gay nightclub on Sunday, but in maybe the most unique way yet: with a brand new head tattoo.
On her Instagram account, the TV personality unveiled the tattoo, which simply reads “Solidarity,” just above the right ear on her partially shaved head.
Osbourne explained the meaning in the caption, writing, “Individually, we have rights and unique gifts. Together, we have strength and powerful harmony.” She revealed that she’d wanted the tattoo for some time, and the recent attack on members of the LGBT community in Orlando further reminded her of the word’s power. She went on to write, “Those of us who embrace and respect freedom stand together, progress together, celebrate together and grieve together. You are not alone.”
Solidarity: "Noun. Unity of feeling of individuals with a common interest or purpose." Individually, we have rights and unique gifts. Together, we have strength and powerful harmony. I have wanted to get this tattoo for a long time. The tragedy in Orlando devastated me and reminded me that every moment of our lives is precious. Every human is precious. Love hard. Live gracefully, authentically and with conviction, respect, purpose and compassion. Together we achieve what is impossible to those who stand alone. Those of us who embrace and respect freedom stand together, progress together, celebrate together and grieve together. You are not alone. ❤️💛💚💙💜
Osbourne’s latest tattoo is actually not the only one she has on her head. Last week, she debuted her first head tattoo — this one above her left ear — which reads “Stories…”
