Sal Valentinetti is a 20-year-old pizza delivery man from Long Island, New York with skills beyond his years. The singer proved it in Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent, knocking the socks off the judges with his charisma and voice.

“I’m gonna entertain yous like you’ve never been entertained before,” he said, showing off his accent. “As a matter fact, I didn’t come here to try out. I came here to win.”

Performing Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” Valentinetti earned praise for his spellbinding delivery and impressive ability to sing like the late legend. After hitting his last note, the judges and audience stood up to applaud him.

“When you want to sing this kind of music, you can’t fake,” said Simon Cowell, who joined the show this season. “It’s either in you or it’s not. And you’re an old soul.”

Valentinetti got emotional when Cowell mentioned his late grandmother, who got him interested in Dean Martin-style performances.

“I’m guessing right now your grandmother’s looking down at you, and she probably is saying, ‘Yeah, he did it his way.’ I can feel that,” said Cowell.

As for Heidi Klum, the supermodel couldn’t help but shower the contestant with affection. “I wanna go up there and hug you and give you a big smooch,” she said.

While Valentinetti’s mother sobbed with joy in the audience, Klum told him, “I just love the way you talk, too… And then I love the way you sing, too.”

Feeling the high of Klum’s compliments, Valentinetti said, “She loves the way I sing. I love the way you look tonight. How you doin’?”

But the biggest moment came when Klum hit her golden buzzer, giving him the ultimate stamp of approval as gold confetti rained from the ceiling. Taking it all in, Valentinetti said, “Today is the first day of the rest of my life.”
